Walk With Me!

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

What really caught my attention in this verse 'yet you have not come to know Me'. This is heartbreaking to me. I have seen many christians who come to church but yet have not come to know Jesus.

Jesus has been there all along for us to get to know Him. He has never left us nor forsaken us.

How do we get to know Him in a deeper way?

Set time aside for Him. When we do this He will partner with us, instruct us, and love on us.

Talking to Him should be like talking to your best friend.

When you pour out your heart, your mind, your everything, He is there to listen.

Take communion with Him and don't rush it.

Ask Him questions.

Tell Him how thankful you are when you arise each morning.

Read His word and let it speak to you.

Hear and do what He asks of you.

Don't just be with Him and not know Him. We have the ability to know all about Him and Him to know all about us. When we know Jesus, we know Abba our heavenly Father. When we know our Father we will know Holy Spirit who is our helper.

We sing 'What a friend we have in Jesus.' but are you walking in friendship with Him?

We can love in a deeper way, let Him love you in a deeper way.

The joy of the Lord is our strength. If you want to be strengthen know His joy.

Nehemiah 8:10 but do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

John 15:9 -11

I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts. If you keep my commands, you will live in My love, just as I have kept my Father's commands, for I continually live nourished and empowered by His love. My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness! TPT

Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit.

Joy is found in God's presence

If you lack joy, make a determined effort to spend time in God's Presence. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, consider His incredible kindness, celebrate how great and powerful God is and you will experience His joy.

God out and make it a good day and walk in His joy, His love, His greatness.

John 15:11: “I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” 1 Peter 1:8: “You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.”
