Have you ever thought about the joy we bring Creator when we are obedient to do what He ask of us.
There are some things that Creator asks us to activate on His behalf.
Think about this: When you as a parent asked your child to help you with something and they did it. You were proud of them because they tried and did their best. It also made them want to do better at the next assignment you gave. They were proud of their accomplishment.
Are we not like this to our Heavenly Abba (Father).
There are some assignments I failed at. But my Heavenly Father was behind to help me move forward in what He had for me.
I remember many years ago I had a Pastor who moved away to another state. Creator would have me pray for him many times. I remember one time Creator asked me to pray for him my thought was ‘I just prayed for him last week.’ So I didn’t do what Creator asked of me, I found out his daughter was killed in a car accident the same night Creator asked me to pray. I repented for not honoring my Heavenly Father by not doing what was asked of me. I learned my lesson ‘do what I am asked of.’ This was a lesson I remembered well, of not activating a prayer that was part of what Creator needed to happen.
I found out the importance of prayer that night. When you are prompted by Creator to pray ‘just do it,’ even if you don’t know the reason why.
In all that I do I personally want to honor my Heavenly Father. Yes I am still learning what and how that looks like. We have a loving and gracious Abba, teaching us each step to take.
By obeying in all things, even the mundane, you are showing God that you are willing and able to obey whatever He asks of you. “by this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey His commandments. Teachings is actually the meaning of commandments. He will always teach us if we are willing to learn.
Obedience to God is not only a way to worship Him, but a way to get closer to Him, prepare for whatever He leads you to and grow as a person.
Obeying Creator should not be a burden but rather a joy, a way of worshipping Him and growing in your faith.
Ultimately, we will feel most satisfied when we are in right relationship to God - which can only come through the joy of obedience.
Obedience includes the humble and sincere acceptance of the authority and will of God. It’s not only conforming, but also demonstrating our devotion through our thoughts, words, and deeds.
Obey means ‘to trust’.
Some might believe it does not really matter what we do in this life, but nothing could be further from the truth. Disobedience is caused by rebellion toward divine truth and choosing to follow our own desires instead of seeing God’s will accomplished.
Luke 6:46 Jesus says, “Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not what I say?” That hurts.
There are many times Creator wants us to Rise Up in who He wants us to be. Part of that rising up is ‘obeying’.
We can always ask God to forgive our past, and today we can also make the choice to develop a determination to obey Him in all things.
Jesus said, "If you obey My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have obeyed My Father's commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete." My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness! John 15:10-12
Jesus spells out the three basic elements of faith: obedience, love, joy. Love is the center; it holds obedience and joy together. When we disobey, it's because we don't fully understand why it's unloving. When we obey because we love, we experience great joy.
Obeying because we love is a mature faith. We love God so much that we want to follow Jeesus in every way and in every circumstance, because we know that He loves us and that His commands are always based on love (even when we don't understand how so), and we know that we can trust Him.
Whe we obey God, imitating the holiness of Jesus we are partnering with Him, to accomplish what God has for us.
There are times when we receive teachings on how to do warfare, or how to do an assignment, but we put these on a shelf. It is time to bring those teachings/assignments forth to apply to what we have been taught to do. Many have been taught how to pray over the land, but yet don’t apply it to their land or territory. Does this bring joy of obedience?
We are in a new season, we must learn from our pasts and not bring them with us in this new season. We must constantly be in a state of mind to keep learning and keep moving forth. Creator wants to show us new things that He wants us to activate for Him.
Are you ready to get out of your comfort zone?
I want to represent Jesus well! I want to bring the ‘Joy Of Obedience,’ to honor my Heavenly Father.
How about you? Don’t regret not doing what is or was asked of you. Today is a new day. This is a new season. Creator is with you and for you. He still wants to partner with you here on earth. He still has passion for you to activate with His lead to accomplish what needs to be accomplished. Bring Him ‘Joy Of Obedience.’
