Ephesians 6:18 Pray passionately in the Spirit as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all His believers.
Candace Simmons: Several years ago, my husband had a dream where he was praying on the sea of glass in the throne room of God. He began to feel a presence next to him and so he looked up. It was Jesus kneeling beside him. And Jesus looked at him and said, “Will you be My prayer partner?”
This statement really struck the depth of my soul. I can't stop thinking about it.
Is Jesus asking you to be His prayer partner?
Candace also states; In this desperate hour, the Father is calling us to Himself. It is time to partner with Jesus in taking a stand against the plans of the enemy. The victory has already been won, but we must pull it into reality. Do not waste time on doubt and unbelief.
In intercession, we see what the Father is doing and join Him in calling it in. The ministry of prayer is inner court ministry. We enter the inner courts of heaven as we fully engage our hearts to see heaven come down to earth.
We have the ability to release God's authority over long-held strongholds of the enemy.. how vital your prayers are!
I want to have us take a look at Jesus when He was in the garden in desperate need to have His disciples pray. He was feeling in the spirit - death, when He asked the Father to take this cup from me, He was asking not to have a premature death. He went back and forth 3 times and asked them can you not pray with me for one hour - they were to drowsy.
Was He asking be My prayer partner now, in My time of need?
Did the enemy cause drowsiness upon the disciples? Or was it their flesh that couldn't keep awake?
We as people get weary – weariness is upon us now. Weariness is a stronghold of the enemy. The enemy is keeping us from partnering with Jesus to be His prayer partner. It is time for us to persevere, to move forward, to get unstuck, to set the captives free, to rebuild and tear down. Now is the time for us to pray as we have never prayed before. It is time to ask Jesus - What is it you want us to pray? To not let our flesh die in weariness/sleepiness but to be alert to what is going on around us.
When we become Jesus prayer partner He strengthens us, He refreshes us, He is with us. Breakthrough happens and our prayers are answered. There has been a shift in the spirit realm where prayers are getting answered quickly (unless there is a blockage and we must ask where is this blockage coming from).
Matthew 6:
But whenever you pray, go into your innermost chamber (sacred place, secret room) and be alone with God, praying to Him in secret. And your Father who sees all you do, will reward you openly.
When you pray, there is no need to repeat empty phrases praying like those who don't know God.... for they expect God to hear them because of their many words. There is no need to imitate them, since your Father already knows what you need before you ask Him. Keep it short and hit the target through your prayers.
Pray like this:
Our Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms, may the Glory of Your Name – be the center on which our lives turn.
Manifest Your Kingdom realm and cause Your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is fulfilled in heaven.
We acknowledge You as our Provider of all we need each day.
Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us.
Rescue us every time we face tribulation and see us free from evil.
For You are the King who rules with power and glory forever. Amen
And when you pray, make sure you forgive the faults of others so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you withhold forgiveness from others, your Father withholds forgiveness from you.
We have the power of prayer within us. We have the weapon to forgive within us and this is powerful.
Can we partner with Jesus and forgive? He partnered with us and forgave. Jesus stated 'forgive them Father they know not what they do.'
Come to Jesus with a thankful heart. Come prepared to listen. Come expecting things to happen.
Does Jesus want you to be His prayer partner – Yes!!!!
What does this mean to be His prayer partner?
Come and meet with Him, in your - sacred place.
Listen to what He has to say to you. There is power in silence.
Ask Him – what do you want me to pray?
Be alert. Enemy will try to come with distractions. With drowsiness.
Receive from Him
Honor Jesus, Honor yourself
Be obedient
Persevere
Learn to forgive (yourself and others)
Learn to love, learn to be loved
Learn to see others through His eyes
Decree out loud His Word. (His word does not come back void)
If you don't know how to pray - ask Him...He will answer
"What does it matter how long I pray, so long as my prayers are answered?"
-- Sitting Bull, HUNKPAPA LAKOTA
Too often we worry about the words we use in prayer. We focus on the words. What really counts is the spirit and intent behind our words. It is the spirit and intent that the Creator responds to. He reads and listens to our heart. Prayer isn't only when we fold our hands and pray. Prayer is when we talk to the Creator even when we are walking down a path or sitting on a hill or walking in the mountains. The Elders say, walk in prayer. We should be willing to talk with the Great One.
Great Spirit, today I will pray to You all day. Listen to my heart.
I am going to shift things here.
What are our prayer assignments? Do you have a prayer assignment?
All of us have been given prayer assignments.
God uses the broken in us to accomplish mighty assignments.
Esther was broken, an orphan, her parents were dead and she was living with her cousin Mordecai.. She was taken out of her culture away from her tribe in order to prepare herself to be possibly chosen for the King. But yet she had favor in the eyes of God and became a Queen. God restored her in her culture/tribe, in who she really was, used her to save her people and take the enemy out. When she became aware of the enemy plan, she rose up into action. Asked her tribe to pray and fast for her and she did the same with her maidens. She received the battle plan against the enemy. She came boldly to the throne, (she stood and waited for the King to acknowledge her) in her boldness to move forward she came and stood before the King in her royal robes and she had favor, she petitioned a banquet for the King and the enemy Haman. God used her to take out the enemy and bring forth His plan for her people. She prepared a banquet for the King and Haman the enemy (who wanted revenge on her people). He was planning genocide, he deceived the King and had a decree made to destroy the Jews on a certain day.
She did not reveal her petition until the second banquet. God gave her the right words to speak with authority to the King. The King became very angry against the enemy and ordered Haman to be hung. The King gave Esther and Mordecai charge over Haman's household. In fact his whole family was killed. This happened through the power of prayer.
Gideon was broken, he thought he was a lowly man, poor, weak in nature, but yet God called him out to be a mighty warrior. He also took the enemy out and saved his nation. He was a leader who lead an army to fight for their rights, for their nation.
He thought he didn't matter in God's Kingdom I'm not good enough, I don't know how to fight. Then the Lord said to him: Go in this might of yours, (God sees who you really are – a warrior for Him) and you shall save Israel (your nation) from the hand of your enemies. (told him of his victory to come). Have I (God) not sent you!!!! I (God) will be with you. The power of God raising you up to whom He sees you to be (your purpose).
David wasn't even considered a son in his earthly father's house. Samuel had to ask is there another son I have not met. Was not David broken by rejection by his earthly father. Yet God knew the heart of David. As David was a shepherd tending his father's sheep, did not God reveal to him, who God was and who David was. They had that heart to heart connection and through this, David came from a broken son to a Mighty Warrior who became King of Israel. Out of David's own intimacy with God ( a man after God's own heart), David intimidated the giant before him and won an incredible victory that delivered a nation. David only knew one voice. His identity as a warrior was rooted in his intimacy. It was a process for many years, he had to hide many times from Saul, but yet David honored Saul because he was King.
In David's brokenness, in all the testing's he went through, he always remained faithful to God and cried out many times for help for himself, for his army and for battle plans. He also knew the power of repentance. He did not become King right way, he had to learn lessons, maturity and total reliance on God...Favor of God. The power of honor and intimacy (setting in that sacred place).
Mary Magdeline was a broken woman, a scorned woman. She had a hard past that haunted her. She felt unworthy even being tormented by her past. Yet when Jesus called out to her, said her name, touched her and seen her purpose she became changed and became a disciple. She had favor.
The power of His touch and calling your name.
There are many in the bible who were broken, yet Jesus saw who they really were and called them by their name. When He calls you by your name, when he calls out to you – you hear Him and you are changed, restored renewed and become powerful in Him and His Kingdom. You know your purpose and that purpose is to glorify God in all that you do. Glorify God in all of your prayers and decrees.
Even as believers we are broken until we have that one encounter, that one touch from Him.
Then we all have a story to tell of how He touched us. How He changed us. How He saw our purpose for His Kingdom, for advancing His Kingdom. How He gave us authority to take out the enemy.
In order for us to become a Mighty Prayer Warrior for God's Kingdom, we must be healed in our brokenness, we must heal in who we were in the past, we must allow Our King Jesus to kill the enemy who is tormenting us.
The power of a Prayer Warrior is very important to Jesus – He is our prayer partner and we are victorious in Him and through Him.
