Fix Your Gaze On Me (Jesus)

Writer: Deb Miller RobinsonDeb Miller Robinson

I want you to experience the riches of your salvation: the Joy of being loved constantly and perfectly. You make a practice of judging yourself, based on how you look or behave or feel. If you like what you see in the mirror, you feel a bit more worthy of My Love. When things are going smoothly and your performance seems adequate, you find it easier to believe you are My beloved child. When you feel discouraged, you tend to look inward so you can correct whatever is wrong.

Instead of trying to "fix" yourself, fix your gaze on Me, the Lover of your soul. Rather than using your energy to judge yourself, redirect it to praising Me. Remember that I see you clothed in My righteousness, radiant in My perfect Love.

Bk - Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

I have spent a lifetime of trying to "fix" me, especially in the physical & my mindset. I would always look in the mirror and be ashamed of my body, my looks, whatever that didn't meet my expectations, or what I should be in my mind.

The media does not help, always portraying women to look a certain way, etc.

It sent messages to girls and women - you could look like this movie star, or this model. Your fashion or your hairstyle should be like this (always the next trend).

This diet will make you skinny and trust me I have tried them all.

About 2 years ago I heard a whisper 'this time next year you will be 130' of course i immediately thought I would weigh 130. Of course I thought what can I do to lose this weight.

This year Creator has asked me 'Do you trust Me with your weight loss, you have tried to lose weight 'Your Way', now let Me lead you, in what I really want you to be free of.

Either you trust or you don't. Trust comes when you let go of your will.

This is where I realize I must love me. Do I really trust Creator in this, my flesh so wants to be in control & use the knowledge that I have acquired these last few years.

So, this blog is not about my weight loss, it is about 'Fix Your Gaze On Me'.

Whose voice are your listening to? The voice that you listen to will define you. The battle that we all face is whose voice will you listen to. I've listened to many different voices regarding my weight. One time Holy Spirit said to me, your obsession with your body image and dieting has become an idol to you. That was an eye opener to me.

Are you being tormented by the accusations from the enemy, from the media. Not good enough, don't measure up, I can't do this.......The enemy attacks where you are created for greatness. My greatness is in Him who created me to be in His image.

I can say torment was in my thinking. But there is victory through My Jesus.

How do you Fix Your Gaze on Jesus? What does this mean? I know to trust Jesus in all things but do I really trust in this situation?

I am learning and seeking to trust. He cares for those who trust Him.

This is a part of my heart that needs healing and He wants to heal it.

“We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus.” (Hebrews 12:2, TPT).

Fix your eyes on the character of Creator-Yawheh.

Bring your questions and you will get an answer.

Focusing on Him, brings clarity and a purpose.

Fix your attention on what really matters, not the chaos around you or in your mind.

Set with your eyes closed and worship the One who loves you and wants the best for you.

What are you thankful for, tell Him.

Write in your journal and He will answer.

Let Him Love You

I am asking that my spiritual eyes will see His eyes. I want to learn to gaze deeper.

To me this is learning how to be 'Fix My Gaze on Him'.

My question to you, Have you Gazed on Him and how do 'you' gaze?
