Change Is Honoring

How do you move forward in the vision that Creator has given you? In your ministry or in your life?

In the military when you take ground – you have to change to move forward. This is victory.

Do we fear change?

Do we not want to get out of our comfort zone to change?

Are we to lazy to change?

Or do we think – what is in it for me to change?

I don't need to change?

You must first change you! Ask God what is in you that you need to change?

These are hindrances to change: (quotes below are from AP. Ray Garcia)

  1. Pride – I don't need to change. Proverbs 16:18

  2. Fear – Afraid to change, take a risk. 1 John 4:18

  3. Rebellion – (Witchcraft) I will not change. 1 Samuel 13, 1 Samuel 14:18

  4. Being Lazy – To hard to change, no time to change. Matthew 6:33 Leads to poverty mentality. Proverbs 9:6

  5. Ignorance – Don't know how to change

God wants to raise you up in your sphere of influence. For this to happen we will go through change. We must always move forward to advance His Kingdom. (see footnotes)

Jacob went through change. (Genesis 32) After he deceived his father and received the blessings that should have been for his brother Esau, he left his family and went to another land. He was also met with one who deceives. Laban who deceived him with giving him Leah over the one that he loved Rachel ( he had to wait 7 years for Rachel. 7-represents completion). Jacob prospered much riches, animals, children he was blessed. He decided to deceive his father - in - law and move himself along with all of his riches back to the land he came from and did not tell his father - in - law he was leaving with his daughters, grandchildren and all of his flocks.

On his way to his homeland he wrestled with God all night. In this wrestling he wrestled with his past, his deceiving over and over again, his fear of his brother killing him, his family, his servants, his flocks. Not only was it a physical wrestling but also a mental wrestling along with a spiritual wrestling. His change came when God asked him, his name. When he was hanging on to God for a blessing. He answered I am Jacob, then God said you are no longer Jacob but you are Israel now. Jacob meaning = heel grabber, deceiver - to Israel meaning = fighter of God, triumphant of God. He was changed after wrestling with with his past. He was able to move forward with leaving his past at this place. He had an encounter with God face to face and was changed. He moved to better land and was restored to his brother.

Gideon changed from being the weakest in his tribe to leading an army with victory for God.

•Meaning of Gideon = destroyer,

•He was the fifth judge after Deborah

•He was one who listened to God and did what God told him to do

•He was tribal

•He had an encounter that changed his thinking and changed his relationship with God.

•He was a conqueror for his family and his baton.

•He knew how to listen to God

•He was a man who took action and became a leader of a mighty army

•He changed history

Moses changed and God used him. Moses met with God, really met God. Exodus 3: The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of the bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said “I will turn aside and see the great sight (a mystery). So, when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said “Moses, Moses!” and he said “Here I am”. (God called him and Moses answered) He has specific instructions in what He wanted Moses to do because He heard the cry of the of His people (My people) I have come down to deliver them. After receiving all that God would do for His people, Moses said “Whom am I, to go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the children of Israel of of Egypt?” So God said, “ I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you; When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain. Then Moses said to God 'Indeed when I come to the children of Israel and say to them “The God of your fathers has sent me to you and they say to me What is His name? What shall I say. And God said to Moses “I Am Who I AM”......I AM has sent me to you.

Moses didn't know God personally and still had an amazing encounter. Standing in Awe of who He was.

It was a beginning of a continuous relationship. It was an encounter that changed him forever, and changed his people forever including the next generation.

Was this not a honor for Moses and a honor for God to ask him to partner with Him and deliver His People. When Moses turned to see the mystery before his eyes, it got God's attention, when this happened it changed their relationship forever. They stayed in partnership.

There are many people in the bible who changed, after their encounters with Jesus. They were launched forward into their purpose.

I believe we are in a season where we need to change, in order for us to make a difference here on this earth. The earth and all creation changes in seasons. Always in a changing way. Creation embraces change, but mankind has a hard time with change. We need to learn from creation – change is needed.

How does one move forward to change?

  1. Ask Creator-God to help you. What is in me that I need to change?

  2. Expose in me the hidden sins of my heart, so I can change.

  3. Spend time with Creator-God in that sacred place and listen to His words. (journal)

  4. Address your fear of mankind to move forward. Jesus is with you to help you.

  5. When Creator-God asks you to change bring honor to Him.

  6. Change is a process, keep going forward.

  7. Read Creator-God's word over yourself.

  8. Prophecy over yourself. Speak out loud, decree and declare.

  9. Thank Creator-God for the change. Let Him see your thankfulness in your process.

  10. Receive inner healing through a healing ministry or through prayer.

  11. Have someone mentor you to help you move forward.

  12. Remember you have permission from Creator-God to change.

There are many advantages to change:

  1. You are moved to a higher calling.

  2. You answer the call where Jesus wants you to be. He is with you.

  3. You help bring Kingdom of Heaven to Earth.

  4. Your relationship's are changed when you are changed.

  5. You are walking with Jesus in a different and new way.

  6. You are set free from bondage to freedom.

  7. You are always in a process of change to advance.

  8. You will be equipped to bring change to your family, city, or state.

  9. You will be equipped to set the captives free.

  10. You will be equipped to heal our land.

I could go on and on about the benefits of change. It is up to you to change!

Are you willing?

When you are obedient to do what Jesus ask you, you are considered a beloved friend of Jesus.
